Yes, you can use 3 cups of milk in place of the half and half and cream. However, the resulting ice cream will be more icy. We actually find that the flavor is enhanced when using less cream, however the trade off is an icier dessert. The Triple Scoop team would like to know how you like the end result. Thanks.
The ingredients include cane sugar, cocoa, and natural vanilla flavor. We have not added any ingredients with lactose. However, to make the ice cream, we recommend that you add a cup-and-a-half of whipping cream and a cup-and-a-half of 1/2 & 1/2, both of which have lactose.
For each pouch, you'll need 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of half & half and 1 cup of heavy cream. Add the contents of the pouch to the liquids and mix until it is completely dissolved. Each pouch makes about 4 cups of ice cream (there are 2 pouches per box). Remember, for best results, to keep the ice cream mixture as cold as possible (maybe 30F) when you put it into your ice cream maker.
They are great mixes, and they taste great.
Because my grandkids think it’s the coolest thing to lick the bowl and paddle. Also, it’s great ice cream, no matter what flavor I do. The mint chocolate chip needs just a half teaspoon of mint extract to make it minty enough for my husband. True, you can get cheaper ice cream, but it’s not as good.
No. It needs to go into an ice cream maker not only to freeze it, but to incorporate air into it. Just stirring it and freezing it, you would end up with frozen milk.
Don't know of any "healthy benefits" for eating ice cream unless you throw some vitamins in it!! Or just not eat it.
The Triple Scoop Chocolate ice cream mix and Vanilla ice cream mix can be used with a soft serve machine. For best results you will want to make sure you can adjust your overrun. If your soft serve machine does not have an overrun feature, you can make and serve directly from the ice cream maker, but you will not be able to fill containers and freeze, the ice cream will be frozen solid.
Coconut milk, soy milk, and almond milk work with our mixes. However, without the milk fat and cream fat, the finished ice cream product will tend to turn hard if you re-freeze it. For the best experience, we recommend that you just make it and eat it all up.
We don't use any gluten products in our ingredients however, the equipment used does process wheat, nuts and some other items.
Yes, definitely. Triple Scoop ice cream mixes are designed to work in all ice cream makers.
We recommend that you use our mixes with ice cream makers.
The ice cream mixes are lactose free, however the finished ice cream depends on what liquids you add.
Yes, all of our mixes can be used in an ice cream ball. However, the key, as always, is for the mix and the "ball" to be as cold as possible. Let us know how it works out.

Yes. Just let it partially freeze before inserting the stick. It's very easy and oh so good.
No, because the ice cream won't freeze properly if you reduce the mix. It will be too icy and not creamy.
People like ice cream mixes for the same reason that they enjoy baking from mixes - it's easy to use and it's great family fun. Also, it turns out perfectly every time. Each box makes 2 quarts of ice cream.
That is subjective, however the standard recipe calls for 1/2 and 1/2 and heavy cream, so I imagine you could substitute milk for a less creamy taste. However, this is Ice CREAM, so you would now be making Ice MILK. Hope this helps!
